furniture design tips…
I admire cool furniture design by well known architects, past and present. Pieces that’ve become classics. But, I keep one thing in mind. They have to actually please while comfortable. “Living with” them needs to be a tranquil relationship. I made a mistake in the past and purchased a couch like that missed the “human element”. Excellent looks. Black leather & steel. Square, excellent corner piece . Extremely uncomfortable. After a month, it became a cold element in the room. And then it felt silly. “Yeah, I look real cool, check me out, take a seat. For a bit. You’ll have to get up soon. Gotta go back to looking good. Now go. Before I hurt your back.”
This couch would fit in an office reception area. That’s it.
Look for furniture that look good but are comfortable to use. Don’t use furniture or personal items as an art piece. A bath towel that looks amazing, better be comfortable and also help you dry out, fast.
